Looking at websites such as 'immersive media' and 'a second life' I am amazed about the increasing blur between 'virtuality' and reality.
The internet and digital technologies are slowly turning the virtual experience into a live experience and there seems to be nothing that cannot be done.
I consider this development as a positive one on the one hand since more and more people around the world have internet access and can experience things via the internet which they would normally hardly have access to.
On the other hand this can be quite dangerous since people can live their "dark" sides without necessarily being made responsible for it.
It is very hard to censor the internet and issues like child pornography and various cults are given unbelievable tools to increase their impact.
