Disaggregated communication

As part of the homework for week 4 Nigel asked us to look ar Martin Weller's article "disaggregated communication". In his article Martin Heller is referring to his and his partners' use of various networks at the same time for different purposes, e.g. facebook, skype, twitter, etc. I personally tend to use skype for instant messenger and phone conference calls. I am using emails in order to communicate work developments and I am using asmallworld.net and sometimes facebook.com in order to keep in touch with my friends. I find Martin Heller's "unorganised" system quite useful but in the end of the day I think everyone has to decide on his/her own what works best for them in order to optimize their communication.
